Job Title: MuleSoft Architect
Location: NJ/NYC Hybrid role (3 Days/Week)

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced MuleSoft Architect to lead integration architecture and cloud migration initiatives for a leading investment banking client. This role requires strong expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API-led connectivity, and cloud transformation, particularly focused on migrating on-premise integrations to Microsoft Azure. You will architect scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions while guiding development teams and ensuring alignment with business and regulatory needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and design integration solutions using MuleSoft for enterprise systems
  • Lead the migration of existing on-premise MuleSoft integrations to Azure Cloud
  • Define API strategy and reusable integration assets aligned with enterprise architecture
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure seamless transition during cloud migration
  • Implement security, monitoring, and performance tuning for cloud-native integration components
  • Establish and enforce best practices, coding standards, and architecture governance
  • Support full software development lifecycle including testing, deployment, and documentation

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience with 5+ years in MuleSoft architecture and integration
  • Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API Gateway, DataWeave, and CloudHub
  • Proven track record of on-prem to Azure cloud integration/migration projects
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services including Azure Integration Services, API Management, and DevOps pipelines
  • Experience working with financial services or investment banking clients
  • Deep understanding of API-led connectivity, microservices, and event-driven architecture
  • Familiarity with security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, SAML) and data privacy/compliance in financial domains
  • MuleSoft certifications (Architect/Developer) are preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with hybrid cloud strategies and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with Java/Spring and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
  • Exposure to regulatory and compliance standards in the banking sector
