Job Details

Role: Lab Instruments Software Validation Analyst / Technical Writer

Location: San Francisco, CA

Job Responsibilities

Document and validate software installed on lab instrumentation according to EMA guidelines.

Migrate the management of instrument software to PPD IT software management SOPs.

Document the requirements and configuration of the software currently in use.

Gather and write software requirements.

Write validation test cases for lab instrument software.

Document detailed software specifications.

Create infrastructure diagrams to represent system architecture.

Create data flow diagrams to illustrate software interactions.

Perform risk assessments related to software and instrumentation.

Job Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience in technical writing, especially in scientific or laboratory environments.

Minimum 3 years' experience in performing risk assessments for software systems.

Minimum 3 years' experience creating infrastructure and data flow diagrams.

Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Detail-oriented approach to documentation and validation tasks.

Familiarity with EMA guidelines and software validation practices
