A growing, well-established organization in the energy and supply sector is seeking an Accounting Data Analyst to transform financial and operational data into clear, actionable insight. Hours & Pay


  • Salary Range: $60,000-$100,000 annually, based on experience

  • Schedule: Standard business hours, with increased activity during the month-end close

  • Employment Type: Direct Hire


What You'll Do


  • Analyze accounting and financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential risks

  • Support the month-end and year-end close through data validation and reconciliation

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and financial models for leadership review

  • Reconcile large datasets across ERP and accounting systems to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

  • Extract, clean, and transform data from accounting, payroll, and ERP platforms

  • Support internal and external audits with detailed analysis and documentation

  • Improve reporting efficiency through automation and process enhancements

  • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to define metrics and reporting needs


What You'll Bring


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field

  • 2+ years of data analysis experience within an accounting or finance environment

  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas

  • Experience working with ERP or accounting systems

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements

  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau

  • Working knowledge of SQL or other data query tools

  • Exposure to payroll, AP/AR, or general ledger data

  • CPA, CMA, or progress toward certification
