Job Title : Firmware Engineer III
Job Duties : Toyota Material Handling Inc. seeks a Firmware Engineer III in Columbus, Indiana to support firmware development. Ensure sprint goals are met and document traceability between
requirements and work tickets completed. Responsible for software and engineering development lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, and testing. Ensure software requirements are generated according to schedule. Track work of software teams and manage the software design approval process. Track weekly progress of software development to
ensure the software design work is aligned with the broader schedule. Responsible for software engineering testing concepts including white box and grey box testing. Work with testing team responsible for grey box testing to triage any bugs identified in code and queuing the bug fixes into the development team's work schedule. Position may work from home but must be onsite at least 1 week every 2 months. Position may require travel to various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States for a week 1-2 times per year. Annual salary: $118,590 to $152,040.
Minimum Requirements : Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field plus five progressive years of software development experience in each of the following: 1. Firmware tools to manage tasks and pipelines; 2. Bare metal or OS embedded firmware; 3. Greybox and Whitebox Testing; and 4. Software Development Lifecycle design, development, and testing.
