The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Advisor, which is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc.
Responsibilities-
Qualifications-
Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in information technology, computers, or engineering plus three years of experience as a programmer analyst, testing analyst, or closely related software development role. Must have experience with: analysis, design, development, unit testing, and implementation of distributed applications and microservices; API standards, Microservices architecture, and Cloud capabilities, including OpenShift and AWS; RESTful API's, SOAP Services, JSON, and XML; SpringBoot, JUnit, and Camel; JVM-based programming languages, including Java and Kotlin; application development frameworks, including Doker, Kubernetes, and Kafka; creating continuous integration pipelines through Jenkins; Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and DynamoDB; JMeter and Neoload.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

Responsibilities-
- Full stack software development (e.g., analysis, design, development, unit testing) and implementation of distributed applications, microservices, and data pipelines consistent with architectural direction and established patterns.
- Communicate with internal and external business partners to help define technical requirements and communicate those findings back to the development team.
- Re-use proven software development best-practices, as well as introduce new trending industry practices and tools where appropriate.
- Design innovative solutions for ambiguous problems, while focusing on performance, scalability, security, reliability, and cost.
- Contribute new software or modify existing software to meet projects and program goals.
- Benchmark systems, analyze bottlenecks, and propose solutions to ensure systems are optimal. Help identify, troubleshoot, and resolve conflicts, bugs, and ambiguities.
- Complete work following Agile development methodology and concepts. Hybrid work schedule.
