Job Details

We re seeking a customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join a high-visibility project team at an active construction site in Covington, GA. This role requires strong Tier 1-2 support capabilities, network troubleshooting experience, and the ability to work hands-on in a dynamic, non-corporate field environment. You ll be the face of IT for site workers and staff, supporting desktops, laptops, tablets, and network connectivity in a Microsoft and Cisco environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide Tier 1-2 desktop and helpdesk support to on-site personnel.
Support and troubleshoot Microsoft technologies including O365, Outlook, Active Directory (user accounts, password resets, inbox configuration).
Support HP laptops and tablets, primarily resolving network and connectivity issues.
Perform basic network troubleshooting and configuration (Cisco environment).
Provide first-level support on Starlink or similar satellite internet systems (familiarity is a plus).
Support MDM solutions for mobile and tablet device management (experience is a plus).
Maintain a general awareness of network security best practices.
Engage in clear, empathetic communication with non-technical users to resolve issues without condescension.

Qualifications:
2 5 years of IT support experience in a desktop/helpdesk role.
Solid understanding of Microsoft environments including Office 365 and Active Directory.
Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and support; familiarity with Cisco networking tools and technologies is preferred.
Experience supporting tablets and mobile devices in a business or field environment.
Previous exposure to or understanding of MDM platforms (e.g., Intune, AirWatch) is a plus.
Familiarity with Starlink or similar satellite communication systems is an advantage.
Excellent interpersonal skills; must be approachable, patient, and responsive to user needs.
Comfortable working in a construction site environment with early hours and on-site presence.
