Purpose:

As a Manager, Master Data Orchestration, you will have the opportunity to lead a critical function that ensures the success of our product launches and organizational growth. You will work on strategic initiatives, manage a high-performing team, and help drive continuous improvement in how we manage master data to support innovation and operational excellence

Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership of Master Data Management (MDM):
    • Own the end-to-end master data management process, ensuring accuracy, governance, and alignment with organizational requirements.
    • Develop and implement a master data strategy to support product introductions, lifecycle management, and organizational goals.
    • Oversee the setup and maintenance of key master data elements, including materials, BOMs, vendors, pricing, and customers.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Coordinate, mentor, and develop a team of master data professionals, ensuring their productivity and engagement.
    • Function as a key point of escalation and resolution for master data-related issues affecting product launches.
    • Champion cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Product Development, Supply Chain, IT, and Operations to streamline master data workflows for new product launches.
  • Master Data Governance and Quality Assurance:
    • Define and enforce data governance processes, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and compliance requirements.
    • Proactively monitor, analyze, and resolve data quality issues in a timely manner.
    • Perform regular audits to uphold the integrity, consistency, and relevance of master data within SAP, and related systems.
  • Project Management for New Product Launches:
    • Oversee and coordinate all master data-related tasks and dependencies for new product introductions, ensuring the tasks are completed on schedule.
    • Track and report progress against key metrics related to data readiness and product launch timelines.
    • Evaluate and check Risks and Issues created in central launch file in collaboration with Supply Chain Development and Regional Demand Supply teams.
  • Process Optimization and Automation:
    • Analyze current master data management processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
    • Drive the adoption of tools, templates, and automated workflows to increase data team productivity and minimize errors.
    • Partner with IT to continuously improve system integration and resolve system-related challenges.
  • Data Reporting & Business Insights:
    • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on master data readiness, data health, past issues, and improvement opportunities.
    • Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure master data accuracy, processing time, and successful new product launches.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Data Management, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in master data management, new product introductions, data governance, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience managing, mentoring, or leading teams in data management or similar functional areas.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and familiarity with related systems.
  • Strong understanding of master data governance principles, data lifecycle management, and related best practices.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data quality improvement.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and/or SQL for data validation and reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data migration or master data transformation projects.
  • Familiarity with master data requirements in regulated industries (e.g. GxP).
  • Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies or certification in PMP (Project Management Professional).
