Job Title: Senior Cloud Architect with SRE Experience

Location: Reston, VA / Hybrid

Experience Level: 15+ years

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Drive cloud architecture decisions that align with business goals, focusing on automation, performance, and cost optimization.
• Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and system recovery strategies as part of SRE best practices.
• Develop and enforce Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Implement observability solutions (monitoring, logging, tracing) and set SLIs/SLOs.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to deliver end-to-end infrastructure solutions.
• Drive CI/CD pipeline automation and integrate security and compliance into the development lifecycle.
• Act as a cloud and SRE subject matter expert for architecture reviews and technical mentorship.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of IT experience with at least 10 years in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash, Go, or similar).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, etc.).
• Solid understanding of security, networking, and identity management in the cloud.
• Strong incident management and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Google Cloud Professional Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linked) and serverless architecture.
• Familiarity with ITIL or DevOps/SRE frameworks and methodologies.
