About the Role
We are seeking an Engagement Leader Cloud Migration, a strategic mid-leadership role responsible for orchestrating enterprise-level cloud migration initiatives across multiple projects and strategic customer accounts. The ideal candidate will lead comprehensive migration planning, coordinate cross-functional teams, and align technical solutions with business objectives. This role requires a strong mix of program management expertise, cloud technical knowledge, and stakeholder leadership to ensure successful enterprise cloud transformation outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Program Management
- Oversee multiple migration projects across strategic customer accounts.
- Develop portfolio-level roadmaps and migration strategies.
- Build and implement standardized processes, templates, and best practices.
- Balance resources effectively across concurrent initiatives.
- Ensure delivery on-time, within budget, and aligned to client quality standards.
Strategic Advisory
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on modernization strategies and cloud adoption frameworks.
- Align cloud initiatives with client business goals and digital transformation objectives.
- Develop business cases, TCO/ROI models, and enterprise migration roadmaps.
- Anticipate risks, identify dependencies, and ensure mitigation strategies across projects.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in cloud transformation engagements.
Technical Leadership
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to align business requirements with technical solutions.
- Provide guidance on migration patterns, application dependencies, and workload prioritization.
- Maintain awareness of cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
- Translate technical concepts into business terms for executive stakeholders.
Technical & Analytical Acumen
- Familiarity with application portfolio assessment and rationalization tools.
- Understanding of cloud economics, FinOps, and enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman).
- Exposure to containerization, microservices, and serverless computing.
- Strong quantitative analysis skills to evaluate application portfolios and prioritize migration waves.
- Ability to create decision matrices and develop data-driven migration strategies.
Required Skills & Experience
- 15+ years of IT experience with expertise in enterprise program management and technical delivery.
- Proven success in delivering 2 3 large-scale cloud migration programs involving 5,000+ servers and 100+ applications.
- Skilled in client relationship management with proven experience engaging C-level stakeholders.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services (EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS) and migration tools such as Application Discovery Service.
- Experience managing large program budgets ($10M $15M) and vendor contracts.
- Expertise in onsite/offshore coordination and distributed delivery models.
- Proficiency across infrastructure, application, security, and network domains.
- Knowledge of compliance, governance, and quality gates for enterprise cloud adoption.
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification (preferred).
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
