The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator, Junior to join a new cyber security program and play a key role in supporting government-critical systems. You will be part of a program that oversees development, integration, delivery, and operations and maintenance of IT managed security services, which encompasses support to monitor the cybersecurity threat and security posture situational awareness for the enterprise. This opportunity is in anticipation of a future contract award!

What you'll be doing:
  • Provide technical support, maintain IT systems, and assist in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • This entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to grow their skills in networking, cloud computing, and system administration.
  • Work closely with senior IT staff to ensure the reliability and security of our IT infrastructure.
  • Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, desktops, and network devices.
  • Provide helpdesk support, troubleshooting user issues with operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
  • Monitor system performance and assist with backup and disaster recovery tasks.
  • Perform basic networking tasks (configuring user access, resetting passwords, managing Active Directory).
  • Help with patch management, antivirus updates, and security compliance tasks.
  • Support cloud-based services like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or basic AWS/Azure administration.
  • Document IT processes and contribute to internal knowledge bases.
  • Learn and apply basic scripting/automation techniques to improve IT workflows.

What does Leidos need from me?
  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 to 4 years of prior relevant experience or Master's with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Favorable if you have:
  • Certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals).
  • Basic knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
