Location: Waukegan, IL (Onsite)

Job Summary:

We are seeking two skilled R&D Technician II professionals to support an advanced compound management team focused on enabling high-throughput research operations. This role involves working with cutting-edge laboratory automation systems to ensure accurate, consistent, and timely delivery of experimental samples.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with scientific teams to understand laboratory workflows and identify automation improvements.

  • Develop and implement automation protocols using robotic systems and instrument-specific software.

  • Perform maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of robotic liquid handlers and lab instruments.

  • Draft and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and workflow documentation.

  • Accurately enter and manage experimental data to support research objectives.

  • Analyze and interpret results, identify anomalies, and recommend solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience operating robotic liquid handlers such as Hamilton, TECAN, Agilent, or Beckman Coulter.

  • Background in compound or sample management is a plus.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Comfortable working in laboratory environments, including those requiring PPE.

  • Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to learn technical software quickly.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior work supporting automated workflows in pharmaceutical, biotech, or research labs.

  • Familiarity with laboratory data management systems and barcode-based tracking.
