We are actively seeking two Applications Engineer II (Inverter or Breaker) to support field service engineering activities, including product upgrades, retrofits, and technical support for assigned product families. This role involves close collaboration with equipment divisions and customers to ensure top-notch service delivery and engineering performance.

What You'll Do:
- Perform engineering tasks to support field service, including upgrades and retrofit opportunities for assigned product lines.
- Review RFQ, quotation, and order documents to ensure they meet customer technical requirements.
- Prepare Service Bills of Materials (BOMs) in line with customer specifications.
- Provide technical support for field sales on product upgrades and refit projects.
- Participate in and lead site walkthroughs, offering technical expertise and insights.
- Act as a technical liaison between product divisions, OEMs, and customers regarding product applications, field issues, and communication.
- Address customer technical questions and application concerns, including preparing customer letters and technical documentation.
- Document customer design requests and communicate them to equipment divisions for potential improvements and upgrades.
- Guide the development of customer-specific drawings, field rework instructions, and installation/testing guidelines.
- Collaborate with Parts Specialists to create spare part packages and upgrade kits.
- Assist in developing technical training materials and field service documentation.
- Promote a positive and professional image of the SCD through collaboration with other departments and vendors.
What You Bring:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 3-5 years in a design, application, or field engineering role-or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Advanced knowledge of assigned product families.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills for interaction with customers, employees, and suppliers.
- Ability to work effectively on multiple projects in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in reading, understanding, and creating technical drawings and material.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Office, CAD software, and ERP/MRP systems.
