Description
SAIC is seeking Chief Electrical Engineer with power supply experience and a thorough understanding of circuit design, testing, technical writing, and troubleshooting to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop circuit card and power supply component level schematics and drawings to assist with future troubleshooting and repair
- Evaluate, validate, develop, and process SD/SOPs
- Develop, design, and produce test jigs and fixtures to support circuit card and power supply testing, troubleshooting, and repair
- Develop test plans and have a thorough understanding of electronic equipment testing and how to read/understand technical documents
- Engineer will assist with identifying obsolete electronic components, locating suitable replacement parts for obsolete electronic components, updating system drawings, and implementing changes to documentation
- Identify circuit card and power supply function with little to no documentation including drawings and technical data packages.
- Identify required tests to evaluate function of circuit cards and power supplies.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and eighteen (18) years or more related experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more related experience; PhD or JD and fifteen (15) or more years experience
- Printed circuit boards and/or electronics experience
- Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Familiarity with industry supply chain issues and vulnerabilities for circuit boards.
- High level of Circuit board experience
- Ability to obtain Power Supplies Cert (IPC7711) within 1 year
- Ability to obtain J-Std-001G-AM1 (ESD), Hazard Analysis, SOP Writing Trainings/Certifications within 1 year
