Technical Accountant Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is seeking a technology-driven Accountant who will partner with the regional accounting team for the client to deliver accurate, data-informed financial statements and management reports through automation, advanced analytics, and modern accounting tools. This role supports multiple schools and business units, ensuring real-time financial visibility, system integration, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
* Own the full accounting cycle - prepare and analyze journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements with an emphasis on accuracy and system efficiency
* Leverage Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables, VBA) and BI tools (Power BI or similar) to automate financial reporting and variance analysis
* Support budgeting and forecasting through scenario modeling, predictive insights, and dynamic data visualizations
* Maintain and reconcile intercompany transactions using digital accounting workflows across multiple entities
* Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity between ERP, CRM, and financial platforms (Microsoft Dynamics/Navision preferred)
* Lead month-end and year-end close processes with technology-enabled checklists and automated reconciliation tools
* Collaborate with FP&A to translate financial data into actionable insights for leadership
* Support annual audits by producing clean, well-documented digital workpapers
* Participate in system improvement projects - optimizing data flow, automating journal entry imports, and reducing manual touchpoints

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
* CPA or public accounting experience preferred
* 2+ years of financial reporting and general accounting experience
* Strong command of Excel (Pivot Tables, Macros, Power Query) and familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools
* Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
* Knowledge of API-based data exports/imports a plus
* Bilingual a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
