Location: CO-Denver, Hybrid 1-2 days onsite
Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Civil Engineering Technician, you will join Turnberry's Business Transformation practice. Turnberry's Business Transformation practice is dedicated to diagnosing and addressing core business challenges including regulatory compliance, full-scale implementation, managing change and driving continuous improvement across transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Engineering Standards:
Understand and implement current standards, systems, document control, departmental guides, policies, and procedures
Quality/Continuous Improvement:
Proactively apply knowledge of the company Quality Program to ensure that the deliverables are accurate and compliant
Demonstrate personal accuracy and support continuous improvement and change management efforts
Review design inputs to ensure consistency
Ensure deliverables are in compliance with the specific codes and standards suitable for the project
Engineering Production:
Broaden the use of applications to learn to continuously evaluate and improve methods, processes, and procedures used to accomplish deliverables
Create and develop deliverables based on a variety of design inputs
Perform basic computations such as material quantity estimates and dimensional checks
Project Coordination:
Coordinate deliverables with other groups involved on the same project to minimize interference or errors
May support field activities
Support of project finalization including for example consolidation of records for as-built drawings or information to take off as-built quantities
Client Focus:
Focus on the needs of internal clients while gaining an understanding of external client's main interests and drivers
Knowledge Sharing, Innovation and Technology:
Proactively seek and share knowledge of latest technologies and processes
May apply judgment and make decisions with respect to deliverables and input interpretation
People Management - (supervision - career development - developing professionals, mentoring):
May provide supervision, work direction, and guidance to others
Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Autodesk Civil 3D
Autodesk AutoCAD
Bluebeam
Experience in the appropriate electronic applications and programs required for performing assignments to include but not limited to CADD or other electronic applications
Advanced ability to interpret engineering deliverable content as assigned
Basic knowledge of engineering standards, systems, document control, departmental guides and company policies and procedures
Basic industry knowledge and technology trends
Basic knowledge of company quality program
Basic knowledge of other disciplines
Basic knowledge of construction and constructability practices and principles
Basic knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides related to assigned engineering discipline
Diploma or Certificate preferred
Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred
Typically a minimum of 1 year related work experience
The salary range for this role is $40,000 to $60,000 or the hourly equivalent.
