Job Details

Lead Fire Alarm Installation Technician needed in the Raleigh Triangle area. Company vehicle provided. Little to no overnight travel required.
Job Description:
This role is responsible for the modification, installation, programming, and commissioning of fire alarm systems. They will collaborate with the project manager and other field personnel to ensure projects are completed efficiently and properly.
Responsibilities:
  • Install fire alarm cabling
  • Install conduit for fire alarm devices
  • Install notification and initiating devices
  • Troubleshoot circuit issues such as ground faults and open circuits
  • Program fire panels when adding initiating devices or installing new fire alarm panels
  • Coordinate with the project manager to resolve any project issues
  • Provide daily or weekly reports to the project manager depending on project size and scope
  • Complete projects on time and within allotted labor hours
  • Attend site meetings as required
  • Provide customer training when required
  • Perform pre-tests to ensure the fire alarm system is functioning properly
  • Complete required project documentation
  • Complete final inspections with local AHJs

Requirements:
  • Five or more years of related experience
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Experience with a variety of fire alarm systems (Gamewell FCI, Fire-lite, & Silent Knight preferred)
  • Effective interpersonal and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with others
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
NICET FAS Certification preferred

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
