Job Description

We are committed to engineering excellence and innovation in complex industrial environments. We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic design and engineering team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for those passionate about design & development, plant engineering, manufacturing and computer-aided design (CAD), particularly in Consumer Product Goods (CPG) and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industries.

Key Skills:

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of engineering design, Machine Risk Assessment, Machine Safety design, Machine Guarding for process and packaging industries.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
  • Communication: Strong and clear communication skills for collaborating with project managers, other discipline engineers, technicians, and clients.
  • Technical Calculation and Documentations: Ability to perform engineering calculations, interpret data, develop documentations, and draw conclusions. 
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in using CAD software’s like Solid Works and AutoCAD. Other 3D modeling and detailing software’s, MS office would be an advantage. 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an Associate Degree in a technical, design or related discipline.
  • Proficiency in CAD software with minimum 2-5 years of experience.
  • Strong hands-on project experience in Solid Works and AutoCAD. Solid Works certification and other 3D modeling software experience is an added advantage.
  • Expert in 3D modeling using solid, surface, sheet metal modeling, top-down & bottom-up assembly modeling, detail engineering and fabrication drawings.
  • Knowledge in OSHA standards and Regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D modeling from conceptual to detailed design.
  • Develop 2D detail drawing to release manufacturing.
  • Develop 3D modeling using 3D scanned cloud points.
  • Develop profile guarding as per OSHA and other industrial standards.
  • Designing components and mechanical systems using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
  • Creating detailed schematics, drawings, and BOMs using GD&T best practices to communicate design intent.
  • Prototyping and testing your concepts to drive product and process improvements.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving design challenges to keep projects moving smoothly.
