Job Description PeopleSoft Developer (10+ Years Experience)

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior PeopleSoft Developer with over 10 years of strong experience in PeopleSoft application development and support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading technical design, development, customization, and support of PeopleSoft modules, collaborating closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and other technical teams to deliver high-quality ERP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, customization, and maintenance of PeopleSoft applications (HCM, FSCM, Campus Solutions, or others based on business needs).
Develop and enhance PeopleSoft objects using PeopleTools 8.x, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, SQR, and BI Publisher.
Build and maintain interfaces, reports, data conversions, and workflows.
Perform impact analysis, technical design, unit testing, and peer reviews to ensure code quality and compliance with standards.
Support PeopleSoft upgrade, PUM Image application, and patching activities, including retrofitting customizations.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide effective, long-term solutions.
Work with functional analysts to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Mentor and guide junior developers, ensuring best practices are followed.
Collaborate with DBAs, middleware, and infrastructure teams for system performance, integration, and security.
Prepare technical documentation, test scripts, and deployment guides.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience in PeopleSoft development.
Proficiency in PeopleTools 8.x, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Packages, Component Interface, Integration Broker, Portal, and SQR.
Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft Data Model, SQL (Oracle/DB2), and performance tuning.
Experience with PeopleSoft Security, Workflow, and Approval Framework (AWE).
Hands-on experience in PeopleSoft upgrades, PUM Image application, and patching.
Good knowledge of integration (REST, SOAP, APIs, web services).
Familiarity with PeopleSoft Fluid UI and mobile-enabled applications (preferred).
Experience with Agile/Waterfall delivery models, Jira, and version control tools (Git/SVN).
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Oracle/PeopleSoft certifications (preferred, not mandatory).
Good to Have
Experience with Cloud migration of PeopleSoft applications (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure).
Exposure to Workday, Oracle HCM Cloud, or ERP modernization projects.
Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD practices for PeopleSoft.
