SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

Location : Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a passionate and seasoned Senior QA Automation Engineer with 8 10 years of experience in building robust test automation frameworks using Karate and Java.
  • As part of our dynamic and quality-driven team, you will be responsible for designing and executing high-performance automated tests to ensure the reliability and scalability of complex systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using Karate and Java
  • Test and validate RESTful APIs using tools like Karate and Postman
  • Design and execute SQL queries to perform detailed data verification
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Identify, track, and manage defects through the entire software lifecycle
  • Define and implement BDD test scenarios using Gherkin/Cucumber
  • Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for faster release cycles
  • Conduct full-stack testing, including cloud-based applications on AWS
  • Advocate for QA best practices and drive quality initiatives across teams

Required Skills:

  • 8 10 years of hands-on experience in QA automation using Karate with Java
  • Strong understanding of SQL and database modeling
  • Expertise in API testing (RESTful) with tools such as Postman and Karate
  • Thorough grasp of QA methodologies, Agile/Scrum processes, and defect tracking
  • Working knowledge of BDD practices and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab
  • Proven experience with AWS and cloud-native testing environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
