Our Southern California-based client, a prestigious player in enterprise software, is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Test Lead to manage a large transformation program.
Details:
Start: Immediate
Duration: Until 11/1/24. Possible extension.
Location: A San Diego, CA-based worker is preferred for Onsite or Hybrid work. Will also consider highly qualified candidates in the United States for Remote work.
Hours: Standard Core working hours. (Pacific Timezone)
Anticipated Compensation $65-70/hr W2 plus benefits. The offered compensation to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include (but are not limited to) the type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.
We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated Quality Assurance Test leader to manage a large complex cross-functional transformation program. This leadership role is responsible for the preparation, execution, and management of the entire UAT testing process as part of the larger implementation plan for the program. In this role will have daily interaction with business and technology teams across several business and technology disciplines to ensure the successful UAT execution as well as to prepare daily summarized outputs on progress and issue remediation plans.
The role will be part of the program leadership team, having the responsibility to report progress to the program sponsors and report directly to the program manager. Successful candidates in this role must have large multidimensional test lead experience in highly complex technology programs and have senior-level skills in working with business and technology leaders to create and execute a comprehensive testing strategy.
Responsibilities
* Prepare, execute, and manage the entire UAT testing process as part of the larger implementation plan for the program.
* Quickly develop, communicate, and get approval on a testing strategy and plan
* Develop a comprehensive test plan for multi-component software implementation in partnership with business & IT stakeholders, consultants, and SMEs.
* Collaborate with consulting partners for test cycle execution and management for SIT cycles
* Collaborate with cross-functional team to identify test requirements, validate test scenarios, execute test cases and track defects through the testing lifecycle
* Ensure test results are being well documented and testing evidence is captured.
* Monitor, measure, control and report test metrics to measure progress and identify areas of improvement
* Collaborate across workstreams to ensure successful end-to-end testing
* Oversee the test environment's health and that it is connected to the required systems to complete the testing.
* Drive standards and best practices in UAT focused on continuous improvement
* Engage in regular communication with business leads to ensure alignment and effective stakeholder management throughout UAT preparation and execution
* Manage the defect process according to the UAT Approach/Plan, promptly addressing critical issues and driving to resolution
* Communicate status to the program leadership team and project sponsors
* Direct and indirect management of a team of testers more than 100 people from various locations and time zones (onshore and offshore)
Qualifications/Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
* Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing, implementation test lead, and regression testing
* Knowledge of or experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementations is required
* Proficient in testing tools such ALM, JIRA
* Solid understanding of testing methodologies, test planning, and test case design
* Ability to lead in complex and fast-paced environment, collaborating with a broad project team
