Job Details

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Linux Systems Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing and maintaining systems running Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). This role is critical to ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our Linux-based environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu and RHEL).
  • Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability.
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly; maintain administrative tools and utilities.
  • Manage system backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Maintain system security through access controls, firewalls, and regular audits.
  • Automate routine tasks using shell scripts or configuration management tools.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support application deployment and infrastructure needs.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship is required due to security clearance requirements.
  • Must have an active Secret Security Clearance at the start of employment.
  • Typically requires a university degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field. In lieu of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is acceptable.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
