Senior Storage Engineer

Skills: Data Domain and Hyper v

Location: Remote

* Configure and manage Data Domain network interfaces
* Configure and monitor MTrees, Snapshots, and VTLs
* Configure and monitor Secure Multi-Tenancy and Data Domain Administration
* Describe and configure a VTL and data replication and recovery
* Describe backup architecture and recovery operations, capacity and throughput planning, and data archiving and migration
* Describe data paths, deduplication, disaster recovery, licensing, and data security
* Configure fibre channel connections, customize and manage a Data Domain deduplication file system, and monitor a Data Domain system
* Perform a Data Domain system initial setup, protect big data and mobile device data, and describe link failover and aggregation
* Describe storage migration, supported platforms, and System Access Features
* Monitor throughput and tune, describe VTL access groups and planning, and explain the Data Domain solution process
* Identify and configure data paths, common DDVE deployment procedures, and log locations for troubleshooting
* Install and configure a DD VE in VMware and Hyper-V
* Summarize the product architecture, understand cloud-based backup, replication, archiving, and migration, and data protection management
* Understand data protection in a software-defined data center, data sanitization, and DD Boost overview and features

Requirements
* Strong knowledge of Data Domain network interfaces, configuration, and management
* Experience with Data Domain backup and recovery, replication, and deduplication
* Understanding of Data Domain Administration, Secure Multi-Tenancy, and VTLs
* Experience with fibre channel connections, deduplication file systems, and system monitoring
* Strong understanding of data protection architecture, capacity and throughput planning, and data archiving and migration
* Experience with storage migration, supported platforms, and System Access Features
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Experience with VMware and Hyper-V environments
* Strong understanding of data protection in a software-defined data center
* Experience with data sanitization and DD Boost overview and features
