Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Department: Manufacturing Support Services

Position Type: long-term contract

Location: Charleston, SC

Shift: Tuesday-Saturday 10:00 PM-7:00 AM

Overview: We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our Manufacturing Support Services team. This role involves providing hands-on technical support in a fast-paced factory environment, ensuring smooth operation of computing and networking equipment. The position requires strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently while supporting a 24x7 operation across multiple shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform onsite troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades for client hardware and software.
  • Execute installation, moves, additions, changes, and disposal activities as requested.
  • Provide break/fix support for computing and networking equipment during factory changes.
  • Assist customers via phone, in person, and remotely to resolve technical issues.
  • Document all service activities thoroughly and accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with SLA/SLO requirements and meet customer service benchmarks.
  • Occasional travel to local sites; extensive walking in factory and flight-line areas.
Qualifications:
  • Required: A+ Certification or equivalent hands-on experience (minimum 2 years full-time hardware maintenance).
  • Recommended: Network+ Certification.
  • 3+ years of relevant IT support experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Advanced hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing client hardware.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving basic networking issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site travel.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Availability for second shift; some schedules may include one weekend day.
