Job Description:

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Essential Functions:
  • 4-6 years of experience with Windows Administration or Engineering.
  • Configure, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot VMWare and/or other virtualization technologies
  • Experience in VM life-cycle management (snapshots)
  • System configuration experience with Enterprise Identity Management tools (Active Directory, LDAP, or IPA etc.)
  • Lead efforts to field changes to production systems to a schedule
  • Address and detect issues that impact projects and implement/develop courses of action (COAs) to mitigate or alleviate the impact to projects
  • Experience implementing patches, scanning, remediating findings, auditing
  • Support critical operations during standard and occasional non-standard working hours
  • Works to provide architecture-level oversight for multiple projects.
  • Work with lead engineers to ensure engineering designs are sound and fit overall architectural concepts.
  • Implement/maintain strong system architectures to include physical and virtual environments.
  • Ensure project schedules are being met and identify any constraints/concerns.
  • Support/facilitate customer meetings and ensure compliance with project requirements & overall architectural design.
  • This position is performed 100% onsite.

Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
    • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
    • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance is required and ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CySA+, GSEC) is required.
  • Relevant computing environment certification (e.g., MCSA/E, AZ-800, AZ-801) is required.

Preferred Additional Skills:
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 3 certification (e.g. CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, IH).
  • Experience supporting mission-critical classified networks and systems.
  • Deep knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows authentication mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell for system management and automation.
  • Experience implementing STIGs and securing Windows systems per DISA guidelines.
  • Experience with system monitoring, event log management, and incident correlation.
  • Active TS/SCI DOD security clearance w/CI Poly is preferred.
  • Establish and maintain up-to-date cybersecurity configurations based on DISA STIGs and IAVM Notices
  • 4-6 years of experience with Red Hat Linux Administration or Engineering.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State is $90,500 - $168,500 . This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
