About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated L3/L4 Data Center Engineer to support the buildout and operational readiness of a new data center in Ellendale, ND. This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to relocate for the duration of the project. All travel and living expenses will be fully covered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain data center operations to ensure high availability and reliability
  • Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and perform repairs
  • Perform root cause analysis of hardware and software failures
  • Train internal teams on systems and procedures
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation
  • Provide technical support to data center teams
  • Create scripts to automate updates for server and networking hardware
  • Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and components
  • Assemble, install, and configure data center equipment
  • Perform maintenance on test and tools equipment
  • Occasionally travel to other data center locations as needed

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with computer hardware (assembly and troubleshooting)
  • Proficiency in Linux operating systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in elevated locations (reasonable accommodations provided)
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 operational environment, including on-call rotation and after-hours support
  • Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly to issues

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
