Job Title: DevOps Engineer (SRE) IVR Team
Client: Comcast (via Capgemini)
Location: Frisco, TX (Onsite Local candidates or willing to relocate highly preferred)
Work Authorization: Any valid W2 (USC/-EAD/L2-EAD)
Work Hours: Monday Friday, 7 AM PT to 4 PM PT
On-call: Occasional on-call support required
Contract Type: Long-term Contract
Job Summary:
We are hiring a DevOps Engineer (Site Reliability Engineer - SRE) to join the IVR Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining operational stability and driving automation across infrastructure and application layers. This role involves supporting critical systems and enhancing deployment pipelines, with a strong focus on observability, containerization, and CI/CD best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure stability, scalability, and high availability (99.99%) of production systems
Plan and implement configuration changes, system upgrades, and deployments
Perform complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis with cross-functional teams
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
Manage containerized microservices and Kubernetes environments
Administer Cisco UCCE, Verbio ASR systems, and custom Kubernetes clusters
Create dashboards, alerts, and metrics in tools like AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk
Participate in Agile/DevOps sprints and collaborate with offshore teams
Provide production support and contribute to future improvements in cloud and automation
Required Skills & Experience:
8+ years of experience in DevOps/Site Reliability Engineering
Strong hands-on with GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and automation tools
Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Go, or scripting languages (Shell, Perl, Python)
Working knowledge of CI/CD, ConfigMaps, Secrets, CPU/memory tuning, GitOps
Understanding of proxies, token authentication, load balancing, SLB, LTM
Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or similar
Strong monitoring/logging experience using AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, etc.
Powershell/SQL scripting experience is a plus
Experience supporting IVR systems (Cisco or Avaya) is a strong advantage
Relevant certifications in Cisco, Avaya, or DevOps tools are preferred
