About the SAIC MSI Program

Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has been awarded a $165 million contract by the Commonwealth of Virginia to serve as a Multisourcing service integrator (MSI). Under the contract, SAIC will provide an innovative approach to assist the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) with modernizing the state's technology infrastructure. Under the contract, SAIC will coordinate and monitor multiple IT infrastructure services suppliers for state executive branch agencies. The MSI is the cornerstone of a strategy that will diversify the state's portfolio of suppliers, improve service delivery quality, ensure cost-competitiveness, and provide transparency and accountability into the commonwealth's service delivery platform.

Position Summary

SAIC is seeking a Principal Cyber Engineer to join our team supporting a major state & local government customer. This role will be supporting a custom developer instantiation of SailPoint with the following responsibilities.

Monitoring of daily, nightly, and weekly scheduled SailPoint task sequences. Remediation of tasks that fail to complete successfully.

Monitoring of backup reports.

Monitoring of services and URL's.

Regular checks for and installation of security eFixes and patches for SailPoint IdentityNow.

Regular checks for and installation of security vulnerabilities and newer versions all supporting applications, such as OpenJDK, Tomcat, ServiceNow ODBC, CyberArk SCIM.

Monitoring/management of certificates nearing expiration.

Implements system configuration and monitoring changes to increase effectiveness and efficiencies in systems.

Support operations, metrics development, maintenance, and reporting

Participating on the SailPoint IdentityNow Scrum Team doing foundational tool work and functionality

Administrating SailPoint IdentityNow

Creating and editing architectural documentation for SailPoint

Other Duties as assigned.

The Cyber Engineer performs a critical role ensuring that the Security Toolset is working effectively, reliably, and efficiently to meet service objectives and customer expectations. The Cyber Engineer will be accountable for technical documentation and deliverables in the environment, as well as the operations of SailPoint IdentityNow as presented to the customer.

Qualifications

Background / Experience

A working knowledge of SailPoint IdentityNow

Demonstrated ability to design, develop, document and test cybersecurity tools and applications

Demonstrated extensive technical expertise

Demonstrated ability to work in a Scrum Team collaboratively.

Demonstrated ability to gather, organize and author technical information and documentation.

Demonstrated understanding of Cybersecurity concepts

Demonstrated willingness to learn and apply effort towards learning.

Demonstrated ability to gather and organize technical information and present the results.

Demonstrated ability to receive assignments in the form of objectives and establish goals to meet said objective.

Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Education / Certifications / Other

Bachelor's and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; May consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.


2+ years of hands-on experience supporting SailPoint IdentityNow

2+ years of hands-on Cyber experience

Demonstrated cybersecurity experience.

Experience working with or helping support a SOC.

Experience working with Cybersecurity policies and procedures.

Experience supporting Privacy reviews.
