Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of industrial and complex commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project delivery-skilled in take-offs, cost reporting, budgeting, and field coordination-with the ability to work closely with Project Managers, site supervisors, and field crews. This is not a design or CAD-based role; it's a boots-on-the-ground position that keeps projects running on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities from project start to completion
Perform material take-offs, quantity tracking, and cost reporting
Support budget development and monitor financial performance throughout the project lifecycle
Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and services
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, address issues, and maintain quality standards
Prepare and maintain project documentation, progress reports, and status updates for stakeholders
Collaborate with the Project Manager to identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive continuous improvement
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in industrial or complex commercial construction (e.g., hospitals, airports, government facilities, large-scale industrial projects)
Proficiency in take-off methods, cost tracking, and budgeting
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with field teams and leadership
Solid understanding of construction sequencing, materials, and safety protocols
Willingness to travel or relocate to Florida for project assignments
Electrical construction background preferred but not required
