Job Title: PL/SQL Developer
Experience Level: 10+ years

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced PL/SQL Developer to join our data engineering and application development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle PL/SQL programming, database design, and performance optimization. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing complex database solutions that drive business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.

  • Optimize and tune SQL queries for performance and scalability.

  • Work closely with application developers to design efficient database solutions.

  • Analyze data requirements, develop logical and physical data models, and maintain database integrity.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.

  • Implement data transformation, migration, and integration processes.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and best practices.

  • Collaborate with QA, business analysts, and other teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as a PL/SQL Developer.

  • Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, and database design principles.

  • Hands-on experience with stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.

  • Strong understanding of query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.

  • Experience in data migration, ETL development, and data cleansing.

  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting for automation.

  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN) and job scheduling tools (Autosys, Cron).

  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle 12c/19c or higher.

  • Familiarity with Informatica, Python, or data integration tools.

  • Exposure to cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or Google Cloud Platform Cloud SQL).

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
