What you'll be doing...

The Senior Director, Experience Design will be the Head of Design For Verizon Value Experiences, and will be responsible for:
  • Oversight of a full organization of design teams, including journey-aligned digital experience design teams: Shopping (Learn, Buy, Get), Onboarding (Activate, Use, Support), and Managing (Profile, Payment, Account Management).
  • Oversight of channel experience design teams focused on specific channel interactions, including Conversational and Retail.
  • Building strong relationships with business and engineering partners.
  • Driving customer centricity across all Verizon Value experiences (digital channels, assisted channels, and products).
  • Ensuring cross-functional collaboration, knowledge management, and delivery of CX and business priorities.
  • Ensuring overall design excellence, including leadership and management of all Value focused design leaders across geographies.

What we're looking for....
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in design or a related field, or 12 or more years of relevant design experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams to solve complex design problems
  • Experience leading design teams focused on consumer experiences, ideally in the connectivity space.
  • Experience working with executive stakeholders to:
    • shape projects to address business problems and technical possibilities
    • set expectations and facilitate alignment on requirements, process timelines, and deliverables
    • persuasively present design solutions and explain their benefit to the customer and the business
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor to teams who:
    • Digest and translate complex business and technical requirements
    • Plan, gather, and synthesize user needs
    • Create world-class design solutions

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work location, the compensation range for this position is between $213,000.00 and $396,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
