IT Technician
Location: Miami, FL (Onsite Position)
Long term Contract
25%-40% travel to other Client site
Responsibilities:
- Technology Assessment: Evaluate the current state of technology infrastructure, including networking, audio/visual, multimedia, conference room equipment, and end-user technologies in corporate branch offices.
- Systems Engineering:
- Technical Consultation: Provide expert advice on necessary technical requirements, upgrades, and improvements to enhance security, efficiency and performance in these environments.
- System Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software systems as needed.
- Network Management: Set-up, manage, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity and security.
- Multimedia and AV Support: Maintain and support audio/visual and multimedia equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
- User Training: Train branch office staff on the use of new technologies and systems, ensuring they are comfortable and proficient.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of assessments, recommendations, and implemented solutions for branch offices.
- Travel: 25%-40% travel (US Domestic).

a. Systems Engineering Proficiency: Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including the design, integration, and management of complex systems. Ability to analyze and optimize system performance and reliability.
b. Networking: Proficiency in setting up, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure.
c. Audio-Visual and Multimedia: Expertise in maintaining and supporting AV and multimedia equipment.
d. End-User Technologies: Skilled in configuring and supporting various end-user devices and software.
3. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with non-technical staff and provide clear recommendations.
5. Adaptability: Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Experience: 5 - 10 years experience in a combination of IT support, infrastructure systems and tools, network management, and multimedia systems.
