DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer Early Clinical Development
The Early Clinical Development (ECD) department is seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to join the Clinical Data Insights & Automation (CDI&A) team. Reporting to the Software Engineering Lead, you ll help build and maintain the infrastructure that supports innovative, AI-driven clinical solutions.
The CDI&A team partners with Clinical Science, Clinical Operations, Medical Writing, Quality, and Regulatory functions to deliver advanced software that solves complex business challenges. We re looking for a creative, hands-on engineer who can design, deploy, and optimize scalable systems in a fast-evolving healthcare and technology environment.
What You ll Do
Build and maintain DevOps infrastructure for next-generation applications integrating large language models and generative AI.
Develop scalable systems using container orchestration, cloud services, and ML pipeline automation.
Collaborate with data and engineering teams to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance model deployment.
Drive operational excellence through automation, monitoring, and performance optimization.
Who You Are
Experienced DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer passionate about automation, scalability, and reliability.
Strong problem-solver skilled in CI/CD, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.
Adept at optimizing performance for high-traffic environments with a solid foundation in software engineering and Linux administration.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of DevOps experience with AWS (EKS, RDS, EC2).
Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go scripting.
Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm).
Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and GitOps (Argo CD).
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Portkey).
Knowledge of data and analytics platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
Strong understanding of security best practices, compliance, and incident management.
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
Familiarity with DevSecOps and security scanning tools.
Background in database administration (performance tuning, backup, disaster recovery).
Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and performance engineering.
