Overview
The Senior Manager Production Support plays a critical role in ensuring smooth business operations by overseeing software integrations, production support, and system enhancements. This role is responsible for managing both a Managed Service Provider (MSP) and an internal Business Systems Analyst team to deliver reliable, compliant, and high-performing systems that align with organizational needs.
This individual will monitor incoming service requests, incidents, and projects, ensuring timely and high-quality completion. By working closely with stakeholders, the Senior Manager will interpret business needs, translate them into actionable IT requirements, and drive continuous improvement of systems, especially D365 production support, ISV/integrations, and solution enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
< data-start="1077" data-end="1124">Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC)</>Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems/technologies; propose improvements and best practices.
Partner with business stakeholders to clarify objectives, determine feasibility, and assess business impact/value of initiatives.
Define functional/system requirements and document current/future-state business processes.
Ensure new software integrations meet functional, compliance, and interface specifications with proper documentation.
Develop and execute effective test scenarios, scripts, and use cases, considering cross-functional impacts.
Analyze test results to identify and resolve defects, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
Oversee small projects or tasks/phases of larger projects, including scheduling, coordination, and resource management.
Collaborate on strategy development and implementation plans for ERP initiatives, prioritizing based on stakeholder input.
Act as a subject matter expert in end-user functional processes within supported applications.
Perform system administration tasks: setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance.
Monitor systems, processes, and applications; gather performance metrics.
Ensure that IT products and services meet quality standards, compliance, and end-user requirements.
Provide expert-level support and problem resolution when issues extend beyond departmental knowledge.
Oversee the full scope of D365 production support, including ISV integrations and enhancements.
