Job Details

Job Title: Technical Engineer (QRM)

Location:Remote
Duration: 12+ months contract, possible extension/conversion

The Technical Engineer is a critical, central figure in our support structure, serving as the primary liaison between business users, the QRM Systems Integrator, and Internal IT. This role involves extensive duties related to the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Quantitative Risk Management (QRM) applications and environments.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • System and Environment Management:
  • Install and configure all QRM applications.
  • Document all information about servers, accounts, and network locations in all Framework environments.
  • Periodically validate the environment through diagnostics tests.

Troubleshooting and Support:

  • Act as the central point for business users to report issues.
  • Recognize and remediate business user issues that have been encountered previously.
  • Gather all relevant logs and details when assistance is required.
  • Communicate the resolution back to business users.

Coordination and Collaboration:

  • Coordinate advanced troubleshooting operations between the QRM Systems Integrator and your internal IT organization.
  • Consult with the QRM Systems Integrator on systems matters.
  • Work with Internal IT to address systems issues together.

Must Haves:

  • The ideal candidate should be a strong IT professional with proficiency in the following areas:
  • Windows Server Administration
  • Scripting (PowerShell preferred)
  • SQL Server configuration and querying
  • Networking concepts
  • Storage concepts
  • Documentation
