Essential Job Functions
- Administer, monitor, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
- Deploy, manage, and scale virtual instances, storage, and networking resources on AWS and Azure platforms.
- Configure and manage cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda (AWS), and Virtual Instances, Storage Accounts, Resource Groups, and Networking Availability Zones.
- Implement automation scripts to deploy and manage cloud resources using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and PowerShell.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and monitoring using cloud-native tools and third-party services.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, security, cost, and availability.
- Troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure, networks, and virtual instances.
- Set up alerts and notifications for cloud resources using CloudWatch (AWS) and Azure Monitor.
- Configure and manage backup solutions using AWS Backup, Azure Backup, and other cloud-native tools.
- Create and test disaster recovery plans for cloud services and ensure business continuity.
- Track and manage cloud usage and expenses.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost savings by recommending appropriate sizing, scaling policies, and resource utilization.
- Work closely with development, operations, and network teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of cloud solutions.
- Provide support for cloud-related issues and escalate when necessary.
- Other duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 6 years of proven experience in cloud infrastructure management, specifically with AWS and Azure platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, storage, computing, and security services.
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Hands-on experience with cloud monitoring and management tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, and other third-party tools.
- Understanding security concepts such as IAM, encryption, firewalls, and VPN.
- Certifications in AWS (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) or Azure (Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing.
- Familiarity with Terraform and pipeline development and integration practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong teamwork mindset is a must.
- A continuous improvement mindset is a must.
- Relevant work experience in Medical Devices, Healthcare, or Life Sciences is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing work environment.
- Must be independently motivated and able to work without detailed direction.
- Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and ensure work is completed in the time frame required.
