Position: Front End Developer - UI
Duration: 6 12 Months (With possible extension)
Location: Austin - TX - Hybrid
- DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
- This is for a seeking the services of one (1) experienced Software Engineer 3 to support the Social Services Applications Team. The selected candidate will perform Front-End/UI development, enhancement, and support for a suite of applications within Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) platform.
- All work products will be considered "works made for hire" and will be the property of HHSC. The selected candidate may be subject to criminal background checks, and no interview fees will be paid by the state.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform development, enhancement, and maintenance for enterprise applications such as State Portal, Workflow Management, Eligibility Web Services, Family Violence Program, Document Center, and more.
- Develop and maintain web-based J2EE/Portal applications using Agile methodologies.
- Participate in all SDLC phases including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and process models.
- Develop responsive, secure, and accessible (ADA-compliant) UI components and Single Page Applications (SPAs) using Angular or similar frameworks.
- Perform system analysis, performance tuning, and production support for Java-based applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in CI/CD, testing, and code reviews.
- Contribute to application architecture, scalability, and optimization strategies.
- Other duties as assigned.

Compensation
Compensation for roles at Beacon Systems Inc depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, BeaconGov provides reasonable range of compensation for this role.
