Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Data Modelers to join our growing data engineering team in Dallas, TX. This is an on-siteposition that will support enterprise data architecture initiatives across various business units. Ideal candidates will have deep expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, with strong hands-on experience using Erwin Data Modeler.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support data warehousing, operational data stores (ODS), and transactional systems.

  • Collaborate closely with data architects, DBAs, ETL developers, and business analysts to capture business requirements and translate them into scalable data models.

  • Utilize Erwin Data Modeler to create, maintain, and publish models; enforce naming standards, data definitions, and metadata documentation.

  • Analyze and optimize existing data models and ensure alignment with enterprise data architecture and governance frameworks.

  • Conduct data profiling, identify data quality issues, and propose solutions to improve data integrity.

  • Support data lineage and impact analysis for changes in source systems or business logic.

  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories.

  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and governance policies.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency with Erwin Data Modeler (this is a must-have).

  • Strong understanding of relational, dimensional, and NoSQL data modeling concepts.

  • Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and integrating models with cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) is a plus.

  • Knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, and performance optimization techniques.

  • Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 10+ IT exp

    5+ years of hands-on experience in data modeling.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
