Job Details

A successful Cloud SysOps Engineer provides input and support for, and performs full systems life cycle management activities (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.). They lead in component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for Applications Development (AD) initiatives to meet business requirements. They lead teams and emerging technologies to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives. This position provides knowledge and support for applications development, integration, and maintenance.
Support the development and operations of cloud- based solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Utilizing a wide array of Fed Ramp Government cloud services and a modern codebase, these solutions are built on leading edge technologies.
Occasional scheduled tasks will occur outside of normal working hours. Emergency availability may be required in rare circumstances.

Desired Skills
3+ years experience with SysOps
AWS Solutions Architect Certified
Experience with low-code tools such as Appian
Deep understanding of networking in AWS, including Routing Tables, Internet Gateways, Network ACLs, VPN, VPC Peering, etc.
Experience with one or more of the following container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS ECS/EKS/ECR
Knowledge and demonstrated experience of software quality process/assurance including testing automation, unit/integration testing, design/code review, code profiling and software continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
Experience designing, building, and deploying highly scalable, resilient, performant Cloud micro-services
Adherence to approved design plans and coding standards
Working in an integrated team to continually improve DevOps processes
