Job: system service manager
Location: Columbia, SC, USA(Onsite)
Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business units to collect and develop requirements for Service Manager requests. 
- Focus on administration and creation of new Service Manager requests. 
- Develop and maintain System Center Orchestrator workflows (create, update, and troubleshoot). 
- Maintain and update Cireson software, including JavaScript modifications for service requests. 
- Perform maintenance, updates, and patching for System Center, Orchestrator, and Cireson environments. 
- Coordinate with technical staff, vendors, and business stakeholders to manage Service Manager requests. 
- Create technical deliverables and documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences. 
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and/or Point of Contact (POC) for Service Manager processes. 
- Provide recommendations to improve efficiency, productivity, and report structure. 
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and executive-level management. 
- Provide after-hours support as needed for projects and platform maintenance. 
Program Experience
- Strong experience with Microsoft System Center is required. 
- Must demonstrate proven success in MS System Center projects in enterprise environments. 
Technical Knowledge (Preferred/Desirable)
- Microsoft System Center Service Manager 
- Microsoft System Center Orchestrator 
- Active Directory 
- Windows Server Administration 
- JavaScript 
- Cireson 
- IT Network Infrastructure and Server Operations/Implementations 
General Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the Service Manager request intake process for SCDHHS. 
- Maintain and patch the Service Manager environment; recommend improvements. 
- Lead migration projects to upgrade and modernize the existing Service Manager environment. 
Required Skills (Ranked by Importance)
- Minimum 3 years of development experience supporting Microsoft System Center (deep understanding of services, features, and best practices). 
- Minimum 3 years of administrative experience with Microsoft Azure. 
- Minimum 5 years of administrative experience with Microsoft Servers. 
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT methodology framework (e.g., ITIL, MITA). 
Preferred Skills (Ranked by Importance)
- Working knowledge of System Center Service Manager. 
- Working knowledge of Cireson. 
- Working knowledge of System Center Orchestrator. 
- Proficiency in JavaScript. 
- Familiarity with Power BI. 
- Experience with SQL. 
- Experience with HTML. 
- Experience with XML. 
- Scripting experience with PowerShell. 
- Experience in healthcare IT and related requirements. 
- Experience managing major IT project implementations. 
- Knowledge of HIPAA, CDC, and related network infrastructure and server frameworks. 
Required Education / Certifications
- Bachelor s Degree or minimum 5 years of related work experience. 
Preferred Education / Certifications
- Microsoft Server Administration Certifications.
