Role Description:
Arcadis is seeking a Senior Cost Engineer to join our team in the New York / New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing cost control processes, analyzing project costs, and ensuring the alignment of budgets with project objectives. The role involves providing expert cost engineering services for large, complex projects, including cost estimation, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting.
Arcadis is a part of the MPA Delivery Partner team, charged with supporting the Gateway Development Commission delivering the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). We are building this delivery team by combining our existing global and local experts and bringing on the additional required talent that will be necessary to deliver the HTP. We are seeking to engage with technical experts excited by this opportunity who would like to join our locally based teams in New York and in New Jersey.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000. Role Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project cost estimates, forecasts, and budgets.
- Monitor project expenditures and progress to ensure alignment with the approved budget.
- Review contractor and vendor cost proposals for accuracy and compliance with project objectives.
- Manage cost change control processes, including assessing the financial impact of project changes.
- Work closely with project managers, planners, and other stakeholders to ensure cost alignment with project schedules and goals.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure accurate cost tracking of contracts and purchase orders.
- Prepare and present regular cost status reports, including cost variance analysis.
- Analyze cost trends and provide recommendations to mitigate potential cost overruns.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost engineering, project controls, or related roles, preferably in construction or infrastructure.
- Proven track record of managing cost control processes for large, complex projects.
Key Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of cost estimation, forecasting, and control methodologies.
- Proficiency in cost engineering tools and software such as Primavera (P6), SAP, Kahua, Sage, Unifier and E-builder
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
