Description
We are looking for a highly skilled IT Security Specialist with extensive expertise in Microsoft 365 security tools and technologies to join our team in Rolling Meadows, IL. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in implementing and managing security remediation strategies to protect enterprise systems and ensure compliance with industry standards. If you have hands-on experience with advanced security solutions and a proactive approach to addressing vulnerabilities, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
Implement and optimize security measures using Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and Intune to safeguard workstations, virtual desktop infrastructures (VDIs), and servers.
Develop and enforce conditional access policies and identity management frameworks through Entra and Azure Active Directory.
Conduct detailed security and compliance assessments, interpret findings, and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented controls.
Collaborate with IT leaders, application managers, and technical teams to define and prioritize security remediation tasks that align with organizational objectives.
Monitor and document remediation processes to ensure thorough completion and accountability for audits and compliance reviews.
Apply industry best practices to enhance endpoint protection, local administration security, and system hardening using Microsoft 365 tools.
Stay informed about emerging threats, advancements in Microsoft 365 technologies, and updates to security frameworks.
Lead efforts to track and analyze incidents, ensuring swift responses and preventive measures are in place.
Provide ongoing recommendations for improving the organization's security posture based on evolving risks and technologies.
Requirements
Proven experience in implementing and managing Microsoft 365 security solutions, including Defender, Sentinel, and Intune.
Strong knowledge of conditional access policies and identity management using Entra and Azure Active Directory.
Expertise in conducting security assessments and interpreting compliance reports.
Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to execute remediation strategies effectively.
Hands-on experience in endpoint security management and system hardening.
Familiarity with data privacy, database security, and cyber governance practices.
Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and computer file protection.
Up-to-date knowledge of threats and best practices in enterprise security management.
