RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the development of next-generation SaaS analytics platforms. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who thrives at the intersection of innovation, cloud engineering, and data-driven product development. You'll shape the architectural vision, guide development standards, and mentor engineering teams while building scalable, secure, and high-performing analytics solutions in a multi-tenant cloud environment.
Duties Include:
Architecting Scalable SaaS Analytics Solutions:
* Design and deliver enterprise-grade, multi-tenant analytics platforms on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
* Build secure, cloud-native applications that support real-time and batch analytics at scale
* Ensure fault-tolerance, elasticity, and data integrity in a modern SaaS environment
Engineering Cloud & Data Solutions:
* Develop high-performance data pipelines using .NET, SQL Server, Snowflake, and BigQuery
* Build and support backend services and dynamic front-end experiences using C#, JavaScript, and TypeScript
* Develop engaging dashboards and self-service reporting solutions using Looker and LookML
Driving Technical Vision & Strategy:
* Define cloud architecture, coding conventions, and operational standards for analytics platforms
* Partner with Product, DevOps, and Data Science to align tech capabilities with business strategy
* Establish engineering best practices in performance tuning, cost efficiency, and secure design
Mentoring & Team Leadership:
* Serve as a thought leader and mentor across engineering teams
* Lead technical design reviews, drive architecture conversations, and support cross-functional initiatives
* Cultivate a collaborative, innovation-focused engineering culture
REQUIREMENTS:
* 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a senior/principal-level or technical lead role
* Proven success designing and deploying multi-tenant SaaS platforms in Google Cloud Platform, including services like BigQuery, IAM, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions
* Deep knowledge of .NET, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern front-end frameworks
* Extensive experience working with Looker (including LookML and data modeling)
* Strong understanding of multi-tenant architecture, security frameworks, and compliance best practices
* Demonstrated ability to drive engineering excellence, influence strategic direction, and guide cloud cost optimization
* Passion for mentoring, team development, and continuous technical growth
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
