BluePearl Pet Hospital is currently seeking a Specialist Field IT.

We're looking for a tech-savvy, solutions-driven Field IT Specialist to join our team! In this role, you'll provide both local and remote IT support to facilities within the Seattle, Utah, & Oregon markets, ensuring critical systems run smoothly and securely. If you're energized by troubleshooting, on-the-ground problem solving, and making a real impact through technology, this role is for you.

As the Field IT Specialist, you will:
  • Respond to and resolve help desk tickets across the state (ServiceNOW preferred).
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot computer/server hardware and software.
  • Support and manage local and wide area networks (LANs/WANs), VPNs, storage systems, and peripheral devices.
  • Operate within VMware Virtual Infrastructure and assist with virtual server management.
  • Monitor and maintain system backups, antivirus protection, and hardware availability.
  • Provide technical support for smartphones, tablets, and Mac systems.
  • Deliver hands-on IT support in remote facility locations for deployments, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Document network/system configurations and create helpful how-to guides and manuals.
  • Collaborate with local management and purchasing to ensure the right IT tools are in place.
  • Serve as the first line of contact for outages and hardware failures-available 24/7/365.
  • Travel locally up to 50% of the time and occasionally (up to 20%) nationwide.

Education & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • 2+ years in a systems administration or IT consulting role.
  • Industry certifications a plus: VMware, Microsoft, CompTIA, SonicWall, Dell/HP/Lenovo.
  • Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and time management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be comfortable in environments where pets are present.
  • Ability to lift, stand, and sit for extended periods; moderate noise environment.

Pay; $30.85 - $41.11 / hour
