Description – Wi-Fi Network Design Engineer
Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Wi-Fi Network Design Engineer to support our sales engineering and field design teams in delivering high-quality wireless network solutions for multi-dwelling units (MDUs) such as schools, hospitals, and apartment complexes. This role acts as a liaison between sales engineers and design engineers, ensuring clear communication, accurate documentation, and effective use of design tools.

Summary:

This role acts as a liaison between sales engineers and design engineers, ensuring clear communication, accurate documentation, and effective use of design tools.

- Fully Remote
- Design, develop, implement, and enhance telecommunications networks, systems, and equipment.
- Analyze existing networks and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Recommend optimal wiring and hardware placement (routers, access points, switches) for customer buildings.
- Use Ekahau and Bluebeam software to create and document Wi-Fi network designs.
- Support and train field design engineers (35+ across regions) on tools and best practices.
- Collaborate with the sales team to consult on new developments and ensure alignment with customer needs.
- Translate technical designs into clear, customer-friendly documentation.
- Facilitate the delivery of high-quality network designs from the advanced design team to field engineers.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Telecommunications, Networking, Engineering).
- 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Ekahau is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Wi-Fi and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with Metro Ethernet (MetroE) is a plus.
