Android UI Developer

We re looking for an experienced Android UI Engineer to join our Privacy and Security team. In this role, you will focus on building intuitive and robust user interfaces that enhance user trust and experience in key privacy and security features. You ll work closely with UX designers, iterating quickly on concepts and delivering production-quality interfaces using modern Android technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Android UI components using Java, Kotlin, and XML
  • Implement responsive, accessible, and high-quality user experiences across a variety of Android devices
  • Collaborate with UX designers using Figma to iterate on wireframes, prototypes, and final designs
  • Build onboarding flows and handle various error states with clear and user-friendly design
  • Partner with product managers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver secure, privacy-first features
  • Contribute to discussions on UX patterns, technical feasibility, and development timelines
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of professional Android development experience
  • Strong understanding of Android UI development, design systems, and architecture
  • Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and Android XML layouts
  • Experience working with Figma and design/engineering collaboration workflows
  • Familiarity with onboarding patterns, permissions flows, and error handling in mobile apps
  • Bonus: Exposure to backend systems or APIs, even though the role is primarily frontend
Nice to Have:
  • Experience in security or privacy-focused applications
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices
  • Familiarity with Android Jetpack libraries and modern architecture components


Estimated Min Rate: $70.00
Estimated Max Rate: $90.00
