Azure - Senior Technical Lead Consultant
Location: Sacramento, CA
Duration: 12 - 24 Months +
Primary Focus: Azure Database Administration and Management
Key Responsibilities:
Azure Database Management: Develop and implement enterprise-level database solutions on the Azure platform.
Full Database Lifecycle Ownership: Lead all aspects of database systems, including:
o Design and Architecture
o Performance Tuning and Optimization
o Security Hardening and Management
o Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution
o Backup and Disaster Recovery Implementation
Policy and Strategy Development: Establish and document technical and data management policies, standards, and comprehensive operational guidelines.
Collaboration and Leadership: Work directly with the Energy Safety IT team to define scope, report risks, and propose solutions. Attend and present at operational meetings, planning sessions, and executive briefings.
Documentation: Create and maintain critical documents, including:
o Task Accomplishment Plans (TAPs)
o Technical Design Documents
o Job Aids and Knowledge Transfer Materials
o Monthly Status Reports and a Final Project Close-out Report
Training and Knowledge Transfer: Conduct training sessions for IT staff on architectural processes and tools, ensuring skills are transferred in-house.

Mandatory Qualifications (Must-Haves):
Possession of a bachelor s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 2 years of experience providing STL services to any State Agency, performing tasks like assessment, collaboration, reporting, and knowledge transfer.
Minimum 2 years of relevant STL experience, including some leadership role within a federal, state, or local public agency.
