Job Details

Our client, a commodity trading/mining firm that is very active in the global metals and minerals markets, is looking to hire a full-time Business Analyst within Information Systems. This will be fully onsite out of their Greenwich, CT location.

You will report to the Information Systems Manager and have a direct dotted line into the COO! It's a very dynamic role with the ability to wear many hats. You will have tons of capability, autonomy, visibility, all within a very entrepreneurial environment.

You will be supporting both local and global initiatives.

Accounting or financial markets experience is a plus, and of course any commodities experience is a home run.

Either way, you should be interested in Systems/Commodities (although they are agnostic to the industries you've worked in).

With over 100 years of overall trading experience, they are one of the most actively involved in ferrous and non-ferrous metals through various commodity groupings. They trade more than 100 uniquely sourced products and continue to seek opportunities that complement their already existing diversified portfolio.

Position Overview:

  • Work with Trading and Operations teams to ensure proper trade capture for business activities
  • Work with Risk, Deals Desk and Backoffice to capture operational, risk and accounting lifecycles
  • Support continued project management on new reporting or workflows, from scoping, execution, QA, training, and ultimately implementation
  • Support company training on system and reporting through creation of procedure documents/manuals, group training sessions, and 1 on 1 training.
  • Develop mastery in CTRM system usage to capture trade lifecycles and peripheral business activities.
  • Support functionality testing in CTRM system in advance of new version rollouts.
  • Document process workflows and system functionalities
  • Oversight and control of manual system processes such as security, users, data storage/retention, server performance and connectivity
  • Act as lead CTRM support for local office/team and assist global CTRM support team where possible
  • Support operations and middle office teams in bulk corrections, changes, and entry utilizing backend tools
  • Administer referential data, market data, and trade data
