We are a mid-size NYC adtech company building a new approach to advertising based on real user feedback and real shopping trends. Our platform uses AI, behavioral analytics, and user-driven signals to help brands understand what customers actually care about.
Role Overview
The Director of Product Management will lead several product lines at once, stay hands-on with discovery and delivery, and manage a team of four Product Managers while coordinating with engineering, data science, AI resources, and design. You will shape the roadmap, oversee execution, and ensure our AI-driven features are usable, accurate, and aligned with real market needs.
Responsibilities
Product Leadership and Delivery
Own product strategy, roadmaps, planning, and execution across multiple workstreams
Translate user feedback, shopping behavior signals, and market trends into product requirements
Write clear feature specs, review API behavior, and work closely with engineering during implementation
Use SQL, analytics dashboards, and experimentation tools to evaluate product performance
Oversee A/B tests, user research, usability feedback, and iterative releases
Maintain consistent documentation and ensure alignment across engineering, AI, design, and marketing
AI Productization
Partner with data science to define the role of LLMs, embeddings, ranking models, and behavioral scoring in the product
Review early model outputs, shadow tests, quality checks, and drift indicators
Ensure that AI-driven features are reliable, explainable, and easy for users to understand
Prioritize improvements based on model performance and actual user behavior
Integrate feedback loops and measurement tools to refine models over time
Team Management
Manage and mentor four Product Managers
Foster a predictable, transparent product development process
Support PMs with guidance on requirements, prioritization, research, and communication
Improve cross-functional workflows and delivery speed
Requirements
Seven to ten years of product management experience, including hands-on delivery
Experience managing a small PM team and simultaneous product lines
Practical experience working with AI-driven features, LLM-based products, or behavioral models
Ability to work directly with SQL, analytics tools, and experimentation platforms
Comfortable reviewing API behavior, technical designs, and product data workflows
Familiarity with modern adtech concepts such as targeting, attribution, user events, and identity
Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to turn ambiguous user signals into clear product decisions
Preferred, Not Required
Experience with tools such as Looker, Amplitude, Mixpanel, MLflow, or Weights and Biases
Experience with cloud environments (AWS or Google Cloud Platform)
Experience with e-commerce analytics or consumer behavior data
