Job Summary
The Network Solutions Technician will work closely with the Monitoring Systems Manager and the Network Systems Specialists. Their primary responsibilities configuring and shipping new and replacement SafetyNet systems components to meet customer's site specific IT requirements, documenting configured systems per internal Quality Systems processes, and assisting the Systems team in troubleshooting SafetyNet systems.

The anticipated Hourly Rate range for this position is $25-36 Per Hour plus benefits. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.
Physical requirements/Work Environment
This position primarily works in a network lab environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and lifting. Team members must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand or sit for extended periods when configuring equipment. Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver's license is required.
The physical demands of the position described herein are essential functions of the job and employees must be able to successfully perform these tasks for extended periods. Job Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Contacting customer IT departments to obtain specific, custom SafetyNet system IT Questionnaire information
- Configure new and replacement SafetyNet system components orders to meet customer's site specific IT requirements
- Document configured SafetyNet system components per internal Quality Systems procedures
- Shipping new and replacement SafetyNet system components orders to meet customer's site specific receiving and installation deadlines
- Assist the Systems Team in troubleshooting SafetyNet systems
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years computer hardware and software installation and repair experience or equivalent knowledge
- 3+ years computer hardware and software troubleshooting experience or equivalent knowledge
- Working knowledge of the OSI model
- Working knowledge of networking using TCP/IP protocol in an Enterprise environment
- Working knowledge of IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards
- Strong knowledge of networking terms and concepts
- Working knowledge of networked systems troubleshooting
- Established self-starter, independent thinker, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong 'hands-on' skills, with ability to perform detail-oriented work with high degree of accuracy
- Knowledge of Microsoft XP Professional and Windows 7 Professional operating systems
- Excellent and effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent multi-tasking capabilities
- Demonstrated technical writing ability with good organizational skills
- Flexible and able to 'change gears' to accomplish goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Medical or biomedical experience
- CompTIA Certifications including A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+
- Certified Wireless Technology Specialist (CWTS) Certification
- Working knowledge of Wireshark or equivalent packet capture and analysis software
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification
Education
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent preferred
- CompTIA Network+ or equivalent preferred
- Certified Wireless Technology Specialist (CWTS) or equivalent preferred
