Production Supervisor Production Supervisor

Position Overview
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently while maintaining high quality standards. This role involves managing a team of production workers, facilitating training and development, and implementing continuous improvement techniques to enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily production activities to ensure that targets are met and quality standards are upheld.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members to foster a positive work environment.
  • Coach and mentor production staff, providing guidance to improve their skills and performance.
  • Oversee the scheduling of production tasks, ensuring optimal use of resources and personnel.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Manage disciplinary procedures in accordance with company policies and regulations.
  • Implement Kaizen principles to identify and execute process improvements within the production area.
  • Oversee the manufacturing of sheet metal and extruded aluminum components, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Support HVAC production needs and work closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues.
  • Utilize statistical analysis to monitor production metrics and drive data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a production supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly in sheet metal and extruded aluminum.
  • Experience with performance evaluations and disciplinary procedures.
  • Familiarity with Kaizen and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate a team.
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and utilize statistical analysis for decision-making.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
